Calm and peaceful mind
I don’t know how common this is, but whenever I sit down to do any of our Buddhist prayers—no matter what the day had been like; quiet or full of turmoil—I immediately feel a calmness come over my mind.
It’s probably just training to expect an oncoming calm and peaceful mind for the duration of the prayer—and hopefully longer—and it develops quickly in anticipation (ie, virtually immediately) but it’s a very pleasant feeling.
It happens as soon as the ‘Guru Founder…’ prayer starts. I love the feeling.
